Ingredients
  1. 160g lean beef mince
  2. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  3. 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  4. 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  5. 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  6. half an onion, finely chopped
  7. 1 small egg, lightly beaten
  8. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients (except the vegetable oil) in a large bowl and roll into balls.
  2. Heat oil in frypan and cook the meatball for about 10 minutes.
  3. For the sauce, place tomatoes, brown sugar and pepper in a saucepan over low heat, simmer for 5 minutes. Add basil leaves at the end.
  4. Serve meatballs with plain rice, couscous, or a jacket potato, top with the sauce.
Seasoning
  1. 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  2. 1 tin crushed tomato (400g)
  3. 5 sprigs of fresh basil
  4. pinch of ground black pepper
